SYNOPSIS
A thunderous crash awakens Gigante. The great ceiba tree of liberty has fallen. Many weep and recall the ominous prophecy: when the roots that held up its surface died, Gigante would begin a slow and steady descent. Strange things start to happen, and the townspeople document them with their phones, filming how they adapt to the inevitable collapse. Through archival footage, we discover the life that once unfolded around a tree whose roots upheld the imagination of an entire town.
